Never underestimate the power of rejection.
Rejection will initially hit you like a ton of bricks.
Crush your self-esteem and ego.
But only for a moment if you allow it, you can find that rejection can free you from what the universe may have been telling you all along was not the appropriate path for you. Sometimes, our hearts and minds lead us in directions haphazardly. It’s when we hit a stone wall that we become self-aware and can stand in our truth. To be honest with ourselves, we will have heartache over what we envisioned but reality will keep us grounded. Only allowing us to relish such unrealistic thoughts until we have overstepped the excitement of thinking to the actual doing. Sometimes, these fantastic thoughts can propel us in directions we never imagined. So, they definitely have their place in our lives, just not a permanent one. Once we stand back and view it for what it truly is…an educational mind-expanding experience….will we be able to approach the next challenge that eagerly awaits our arrival.
While looking for some inspiration this morning, I came across this article. Instead for just accepting whatever comes your way, let your mind be open to possibilities. By allowing the free flow of energy through the Universe you allow yourself to receive whatever spiritual enlightenment that could empower you to greatness. This morning I was reminded of the power of synchronicity…being in the right place at the right time. We can only be empowered if we are ready for the possibilities that might come our way. I had been seeking some inspiration this morning to continue my journey of authentic living. Consequently, this article was just what I needed to reignite my passion and thus share it with you! I hope you find some inspiration today!
The reason you are not who you want to be is because you were too busy being someone else. You chose to be what you see, instead of being what you really are. Now it’s time to take back what you’ve lost all these years. It’s time to regain a sense of self, and to only accept the reality you choose to live in, from this day forward.
See, it’s easier to accept the reality you are in, rather than to take the path of most resistance. It’s easier to be a loser, than to seek glory and success. Our brains have programmed US into accepting things the way they are now and always have been, rather than defy conventional wisdom. But then there are those who look at life and decide to break the status quo. They observe life from the outside, to see the greater picture and what it means to exist in this world. They escape the rat race.
“Success is about making your life a special version of unique that fits who you are – not what other people want you to be.” – Mark Cuban
Only you can convince yourself that reality is what you make of it. Only you can decide to never settle for anything less than spectacular; but it’s a choice. You can choose to accept reality, or you can choose to create it. And depending on your answer, life will either be the best gift given to you or simply a nightmare that never ends.
“Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.” – Albert Einstein
The shift from accepting reality to creating it may be a very scary one at first, but that is completely normal. It is your brain telling you that things are no longer in a state of homeostasis, that life is very different. But once time passes, your brain will have no choice but to accept the unconventional and the unknown. And when that happens, I believe that is the moment when you will truly be set free to pursue whatever dreams, goals, and desires that you have.
“Reality is wrong. Dreams are for real.” – Tupac Shakur
